A fixed template is used for a specific page. Ex: (Homepage, About Us, Contact Us)

  2. Click "Create a website page".
  3. Choose the template you would like to create a page for.
  4. Title your page and click "Create".
  5. When your page finally opens, click the "Edit modules" icon (looks like a 3D box).

3. Custom Modules

What is a Custom Module?

A custom module is a drag & drop module that generates fields for a designed layout that a user edits easily. (See Hubspot's Definition)

*The following modules should be used in a flexible column (all flexible columns have the class "custom-column"):

Using a Custom Module Example:

  1. Custom Headline Text:
    1. Allows the user to choose a headline style for an H2 element. This module has the options thin or bold. (Use only in content sized flexible column)
  2. Full Width Quote or One Line Heading Text:
    1. Allows the user to create a full width section with customizable background color or pattern, and a customizable headline. (Use only in full width flexible column)
  3. 2 Column CTA & Rich Text:
    1. This module can be used to create a customizable section using two rich text modules one for content, the other for a call-to-action. (Use only in full width flexible column)
  4. 2 Column Image & Rich Text:
    1. This module can be used to create a custom section using a rich text and an image module. (Use only in full width flexible column)
  5. 2 Column Image & Rich Text Reversed:
    1. Same as above module, left and right columns are reversed. (Use only in full width flexible column)
  6. 3 Column Rich Text Content Section:
    1. Create a custom section with a full width H2 element and 3 column rich text layout. (Use only in full width flexible column)
  7. Full Width Content Section:
    1. Used to create a full width rich text section with a customizable H2, background color or pattern, and customizable text area. (Use only in full width flexible column)

Using a Custom Module:

  1. While editing a page select "Edit Modules".
  2. Locate the type of flexible column you wish to use.
    1. NOTE:
      1. Full width flexible columns take up the entire width of the browser. All custom modules should go inside this kind of flexible column EXCEPT: "Custom Headline Text".
      2. Content width flexible columns take up the area where your content will be boxed in or contained. Use the custom module "Custom Headline Text" or built-in HubSpot modules in this kind of flexible column.
  3. Click "Add New Module".
  4. Select the custom module you would like to add to the flexible column and click "Add Module".
  5. Click the module to edit its options.
  6. Choose your options, make your changes then save.
  7. Preview and publish.
